Randy McKee

Randy George McKee is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Magna Cum Laude) from Xavier University and received a Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School. He has practiced law for 24 years with an emphasis in Civil Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Business Law, Municipal Finance, Real Estate and Successions.

McKee is a trial attorney who represents parties in personal injury and workers’ compensation matters. Additionally, he represents various businesses, educational institutions, and individuals in various civil and commercial litigation and trial matters. He provides counsel in regard to estate, real estate and reorganization matters. Additionally, he serves as General Counsel to the St. Helena Parish School Board. He also provides counsel to St. Augustine High School and Xavier University.

McKee has previously represented a local transportation board of commissioners. In this role, he provided counsel on a variety of matters, including regulatory matters, transactional issues and litigation matters. Further, he managed outside law firms responsible for litigation matters. His work also included drafting board resolutions, commercial agreements, cooperative endeavor agreements and shareholder agreements. 

In his municipal finance practice, McKee advises issuers, underwriters and institutions regarding the issuance of municipal bonds. He has served as bond counsel, co-underwriters and co-bond counsel in several deals with municipalities, airport boards, development agencies and school boards. He is also listed in the Bond Buyer’s Municipal Marketplace Directory (“The Red Book”).

McKee has also represented real estate developers in litigation involving tax credits. He has also represented developers, businesses and various entities in development and rezoning matters. He has represented banks and individuals in foreclosure and expropriation/eminent domain proceedings.

McKee served as a United States Bankruptcy Chapter 7 Trustee assisting in the liquidation of assets for estates. McKee presently serves as an adjunct professor in Constitutional Law at Southern University Law Center and Xavier University. McKee is a former member of the Second Harvest Food Bank Board of Directors. He is a Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He has also served as President of the Pastoral Council for his church.
